Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is a American animal rights activist, author, model and actor. Her movies comprise Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) as well as The Getaway ( 1972). The daughter of a family of artists living in New York she wished to work in the field of art. She began working as a photo assistant later moved into acting and modeling. The first two films she appeared in her name was acknowledged as a winner of her the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Young Actress. MacGraw's 1970 film Love Story was an international success, earning the actress an Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. Within three years MacGraw was ranked as the most popular female box-office starter in the world. The Grauman's Chinese Theater recorded her signature as well as foot prints, hand prints, and footprints in the year 1972. She also appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, and other films. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography of hers, was published. MacGraw is divorced three times.
