Ayesha Takia

Ayesha Takia Azmi (born on the 10th of April, 1986) is a former model turned actress from India who primarily appeared in Hindi films. Ayesha won Filmfare's Best Debut Award in the year 2004 in recognition of her role as the lead actress of Taarzan The Wonder Car. This was her acting debut. The subsequent films she appeared in are Paathshaala (2009) Wanted (2010) Salaam-E-Ishq (2007, 2008) as well as Socha Na Tha (2010). Her first cameo was for the commercial of the popular health drink Complan. Shahid Kapoor, the Bollywood superstar appeared with her in I am a Complan boy/I am a complangirl. Also, she was in the remix of Nahin Nahin Abhi Nahin. Her fame grew due to the success of this track during the time of remixes in India. Then, she began receiving invitations to appear in Bollywood films. Taarzan The Wonder Car was known late to her debut, which was supposed to be part of the movie Socha Na Tha but was held up by issues with production. Ayesha was a moral leader in her criticism of her father-in law, Samajwadi Party Samajwadi Party MP Abu Azmi on the punishment of rape victim. While participating in an PETA India advertisement, she issued public statements stating that she is vegan. In 2006 she was featured as one of the most Desirable Indian Women.
