
Brianne Sidonie Desaulniers (born on October 1, 1989) is professionally known as Brie Larson is an American actress. As a teenager she was well-known for her supporting roles in comedies. Since then, she has gone into leading roles in blockbuster films as well as independent films. Larson has been honored with numerous awards including the Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award. She also won the Primetime Emmy Award. Time magazine named Larson as one of the 100 most important people on the planet for 2019. Larson was admitted at age six into American Conservatory Theater's training program. Her acting career began in 1998 when she was featured in a comedy sketch on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. In 2001, she appeared as an actor on Raising Dad. She also briefly considered pursuing a career in music, following the release of her album, Finally Out Of P.E. In 2005. Larson played a role of support in the comedy films Hoot (2006) as well as Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (2010). She also appeared in the role of a sardonic teenage on the TV show United States of Tara (2012). Larson's breakthrough came when her character was the lead role in Short Term 12 (2013). She continued to play supporting roles in The Spectacular Now (2013) and Trainwreck (2015). Larson was nominated for an Academy Award as Best Actress for her performance as a kidnapping suspect in the dramatic Room (2015). The 2017 film adventure Kong, Skull Island was her first film with a big budget. She then starred in Captain Marvel in Marvel Cinematic Universe (2019).
